MEMBERSHIP
  1. 1.Open to young men & women who are at least 14 years old, but have not reached their 20th birthday.
  2. 2.If chosen to be a part of the CCFES Explorer Program, there will be a one time fee of $10.00.
  3. 3.Maintain passing grades in all classes with a "C" overall average
  4. 4.Present your report card to Post advisors for review
  5. 5.Able to attend 80% of the meetings
  6. Must have transportation to meetings
  7. 6.Complete all cadet check-offs. ( A link to FF1 requirements can be found on the events page).  More will be explained about check-offs once you become a member
  8. 7.Submit completed Fire Cadet application form
  9. 8.Satisfactorily complete a physical fitness test conducted by the Post Advisors or designated fire personnel
  10. 9.Submit completed Medical History form and any medical clearance forms needed for special circumstances
  11. 10.Complete Parental Permission and Consent to Treat forms
  12. 11.Read and complete Code of Conduct form
  13. 12.Satisfactorily complete background investigation form
  14. 13.Criminal record on file
  15. 14.Submit three (3) letters of recommendation (1 from your school SRO/ 2 from non-relatives with contact information). The SRO has this form and will fax us the information if you are in the Clayton County School System. If you are not, you will need to call (770) 210.5204 to have the form faxed to your School Resource Officer.
2.To RIDE
  • 1.Be at least 16 years old
  • 2.Have your CPR certification
  • 3.Pass a 100 question, multiple choice test covering materials that have been covered at meetings. 
  • Tests are taken from Jones & Bartlett 4th Edition.
AFTER YOU HAVE EARNED RIDING PRIVILEGES
  • 1.Attend at least 3 months of regular meetings with an 80% attendance rate
  • 2.Continue to attend meetings and have an active role in training newer members
  • 3.Maintain an 80% attendance rate at meetings
  • 4.Maintain passing grades in school
  • 5.Continue to expand your knowledge of the fire service.
