Exploring is Learning
for Life’s (Boy Scouts of America) career education program for young men and women who are 14 (and have completed the
eighth grade) to 19 years old. It involves 2 days a week to participate.
The young adults for the Clayton
County Fire & Emergency Services Explorer Post 701, 2009 class, are selected
by the Clayton County Chartered Organization Representatives for involvement in the program. Color, race, religion, gender,
sexual orientation, ethnic background, economic status, or citizenship is not criteria for participation.
Exploring is to provide experiences to help young people
mature and to prepare them to become responsible and caring adults by giving back to their community. Explorers are ready
to investigate the meaning of interdependence in their personal relationships and communities. It’s a commitment of your time, effort and desire to become a fire fighter/ emergency responder .
Clayton County Fire & Emergency Services initiates
its explorer post by matching our people and program resources to the interests of young people in the community. The result
is a program of activities that helps youth pursue their special interests, grow and develop in the career of firefighting.
